Update on potential hive…


It didn’t work. Sadly, by the time Hobbit King got to the swarm location, the scouts had made it back and the swarm was on the move.

He said it looked like a tornado; the swarm was huge as they made their move.

Hobbit King was able to follow them across several yards, but then he lost it.

Here’s a picture of one of our hives when we first got them ready (1911) for a nuc of bees:

Oh well…maybe we’ll get one yet.

  1. Hi!  There is a huge tree in our church yard that almost always has a swarm or two every year.  I have a friend watching it for you!  If we see one beginning, I’ll call you!  Maybe you will find more than one!  Happy day, BJ
